OMRRA uses MyLaps/AMB sports transponders for all race and practice timing and scoring. Racers are required to mount a properly functioning transponder to the front fork leg of their motorcycle whenever they are on track, and to have that transponder number linked to their OMRRA event registration through Motorsportreg.com.
A limited number of AMB TranX260 rechargeable units are available for rent in the second floor of the PIR Pro Pit tower each race weekend for $25 daily or $50 for the weekend. Reservations may be made in advance by contacting [email protected] or through your race registration. Rentals are first come first served, and availability is not guaranteed.
New transponder units are available for sale or subscription through MyLaps.com.
The OMRRA system supports the MyLaps (previously called AMB) TranX Classic/TranX Flex/TranX260/TranX260R and the newer TR2 & X2 transponders for motorcycles.
Used transponders can occasionally be found on eBay, Facebook, and racing forums. The most likely ones you will find that are compatible are the red AMB TranX260 rechargeable units and more rarely the TranX260 (hardwired) model.
*Be aware, there are other MyLaps/AMB models which are NOT suitable for road racing. If in doubt, check with MyLaps.com.
