OMRRA Round 1 Useful Information

No Friday bike tech, sorry to report. There were several reasons and if we can resolve them, perhaps we can reinstate the very convenient and popular service.

Season Pass reminder. You must present your card to get your wristband. There will not be a "list" at the gate or registration.

Mandatory Riders Meeting. It will start on time so you must be on time. It will cover only the things we feel need to be said, and it will conclude as quickly as possible. The goal is to be done by 8:45 or 8:50am. That means if anyone has something they want said, I need to be asked before the meeting, not during it. In most cases it is suggested that the track announcers can spread your word. By doing this, we can keep the riders meeting short and get everyone back to their business.

ASIT gear tech. This is always a bottle neck, particularly on Saturday morning. In addition to OMRRA trying to do better, I have two suggestions. First, if you aren't the first practice or two, don't stand in line during peak time (7:30-8:30am). Instead, gear tech after the riders meeting once the crowd has passed. Second, try wearing your gear to tech. It's actually quicker and easier.

Section L-3 Rules Change, regarding official results timing. I will post the exact rule tomorrow in the rules section of the forum, but for now here is the summary. The board approved an immediate rule change to address the requirements of our contingency providers, which is prompt reporting of official results. You now have only 30 minutes after the posting of the results for the last race of day to protest results, finishing order, or forgotten AMB. Basically, results will be Official before the evening awards. Again, a more complete explanation will be posted.
