Some information:

If you want to cornerwork for your hours, meet at the base of the tower around 0815 and ask John Acerbi for an assignment.

If there are a few of you guys that want to work, you might ask to job share. Meaning that 2 of you get together and decide that you'll switch corners at lunchtime. John may not prefer that, but it's a good way to see the track and we still have the coverage of help and you get to meet other regular volunteers.

Don't wear RED or YELLOW shirts or jackets. Bring neutral colors...browns and blacks, whites, etc. If you have orange, that's good too.

Get your corner Captain to sign off your hours. I'll have to check with Janice if a sheet was included in the packet. I don't think there was one. If not, write your name and bike # on a piece of paper and have the captain sign their name and give the number of hours and the date you were with them.

Fire off any other questions, and I'll try to answer them.
Mark

Thanks Kevin. I'll check in with Dustin on this and we'll get back to all the Novices, but in the meantime, keep track, have the signatures and it'll be cool.

Hey Mark can this be done on any track day, or does this have to be a scheduled OMRRA event? Just curious as I would like to get this part done as soon as I can. I believe I could pick up a lot of insight from this view point of racing. As always thanks for all the help and support it can and does make all the difference in the learning curve.

Aaron,
The working has to be accomplished within an OMRRA sanctioned event. So, like this coming OMRRA Saturday is good time for some Novices to put in their time for the Endurance race, if they aren't racing themselves.

Hope that helps you plan better.

See you Monday!

Mark, is there any set up in the am that we novices can help with or the night before?? Airfence or something to help add hours?

There are lots of ways to volunteer with OMRRA. Be creative and talk to Mark or Dustin on whether your idea for volunteering would count. ASIT, Tech, Turn Working, Track Set-up, Airfence, Awards, etc.
