First off, thanks to all my family and friends who called me, text'd me, etc. with all their wonderful support, that really helps when you're feeling down and out in the hospital...thank you!!! Thanks to Dorn for stopping by the hospital and making me laugh, even though it was mostly the drugs that made him funny ;0 Thanks also to ASIT and especially Pam for being so sweet. Special thanks to my buddies Tom and Don for getting my bikes and gear home for me, those guys rock. Thanks to Verderico for his support over the weekend, we're having a blast pitting together this year and we were going at it in practice on Saturday! Little focker is fast! Of course my wife Carrie deserves most of the credit, she's AWESOME!
I highsided exiting T3 at PIR. Broke my left ankle, surgery went well, have a couple new steel additions to the family! Doc says no weight for 3 months, seems a little conservative to me, but we'll see how it goes.
Fractured left shoulder (end of the humerus). Only took x-rays, not sure if there is ligament damage. Doc says we'll let that heal and check it in a few weeks. He says it could easily break off if I'm not careful. I'm concerned about it because I had surgery on this same shoulder for ligament damage from a car accident 4 years ago, hopefully this will be okay. Can't lift my shoulder very much, super soar and it's tough to use crutches.
I'm in good spirits and looking forward to healing up and getting back out there!!! I guess all those years of not crashing is finally catching up to me!
